Taylor Frankie Paul announced she's the next lead of ABC's The Bachelorette in a September 10 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Paul, a MomTok influencer, rose to fame for exposing her part in the Mormon "soft-swinging" scandal in a May 2022 livestream.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shares two children with ex-husband Tate Paul and one son with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
There's a new bachelorette in town—and she's a familiar face to reality-TV fans.
MomTok influencer Taylor Frankie Paul will be the next lead of the long-running ABC reality series. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star announced the news on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast on September 10.
As she prepares to meet the eligible bachelors who will vie for her heart, fans can't help but wonder about her previous attempts to find love. While speaking with Cooper, Paul discussed her concerns about signing onto the show given her relationship history. "In my head, I'm like, 'Okay, how do I make this work?' I'm a co-parent. I have two baby daddies, not one. So, I'm dealing with two different people, right?"
Yet Paul decided the opportunity to go on a life-changing search for love was one she couldn't pass up. "This is something so new for me," she said on the podcast, "because obviously I got married young, divorced, and then the first guy I met was the next relationship."

The mom of three was just 22 years old when she wed Tate Paul, now her ex-husband, in late 2016, per People. They welcomed their daughter, Indy May, in August 2017. Son Ocean arrived in June 2020. Two years later, Taylor revealed on TikTok that she and Tate were divorcing because she'd violated the boundaries of their 'soft-swinging' agreement.
Once the couple divorced, the influencer began dating now-ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. They share a son named Ever True, born in March 2024. Their relationship struggles are detailed in Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives; that show is returning for Season 3 in November 2025.
You'll have to watch Season 22 of The Bachelorette next year to see if Paul finds the one. In the meantime, here's everything to know about her relationship history.

Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-husband, Tate Paul, married in 2016. They were together for nearly 6 years and welcomed their first child, daughter Indy, in 2017. Their son, Ocean, arrived in June 2020.
The Pauls' marriage ended in 2022. On May 25 of that year, the already popular influencer participated in a now-viral livestream in which she explained that the couple had been "soft-swinging" with other couples within the Mormon community, as E! News reported at the time. While the couples had agreed to be romantically intimate but not "go all the way," Taylor said she'd violated this boundary, resulting in her split from Tate.
In a TikTok posted on September 14, 2022, the mom of two said she'd "absolutely not" swing again. "It clearly ruined my life. This is just a sensitive subject because people do live that lifestyle, and it works for them, so I don't want to bash on that," she said in the video, according to E! News. "And obviously, I am no one to judge, but for me personally, I would not be participating in that ever again."

While Taylor has stepped into the spotlight following their divorce, Tate has maintained a lower profile. On his Instagram, he's shared a few major life milestones, including welcoming two children with his new wife, esthetician Bailey Paul.
In May 2025, he posted a picture of Bailey and their children to Instagram as part of a Mother's Day tribute, writing in the caption, "Words cannot describe how incredible of a Mother and wife that you are! You never put yourself first. Our kids and I are beyond lucky to have you! I love you so much! ❤️."
Taylor told TODAY.com in 2024 that Tate, the father of two of her three children, would always be part of her life. "It's still such a part of my story, my life. It's my kids' dad," she said. "So [Tate] is still going to always be an important figure in their lives and mine."

Paul debuted her relationship with boyfriend Dakota Mortensen on social media in September 2022, according to People—just four months after the Mormon MomTok scandal first broke the Internet.
The former couple share one child, son Ever True, who was born on March 19, 2024. "Meet Ever Mortensen our angel sent from heaven🕊️," Taylor captioned her Instagram post announcing the arrival of her youngest.
While their relationship was on-and-off again, they ultimately broke up for good by 2025. Speculation of their split had started over the December 2024 holidays, when the couple posted online about spending them apart. In January 2025, Paul took to her Instagram Stories to answer fan questions and revealed she and Mortensen had broken up. "I cry every day," she wrote of her emotional turmoil following their split.
In an episode of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2, Paul claimed that Mortensen had lied to her over the course of their relationship and alleged infidelity. "Right after Ever was born, Dakota and I were living together and in bliss with our new baby, and I was even considering engagement. And then I learned that he was lying this entire time," she said in the episode, per E! News.
Speaking to TODAY.com in 2024, Paul revealed that her ex-husband and Mortensen "get along" with one another. "They're buddies, you know, and I'm buddies with [Tate's] partner. I don't know if that makes anyone uncomfortable, but that's OK, because I think it's part of my story," she continued. "It's authentic."
On the Call Her Daddy podcast episode where Paul announced she'd be the next Bachelorette star, she said she didn't tell Mortensen the news ahead of time. "I have not confirmed it with him. So, I don't know if he knows or if he knew I had the opportunity."
Asked by host Cooper how she thinks he'll react, she said he'd be "sad" about it. "He does know that I was dating and meeting people, so that—we've already had that first hurt, I guess. I think that's the hardest part, is you see [with your ex] their first dating or hookup or whatever it is. That's going to always take a toll." Paul added in the same interview that she thinks Mortensen will watch the show, speculating that it could "maybe" spark him "to like someone new and focus on her" as she moves on herself.
