Ahead of her destination wedding to fiancé Andrea Preti, 37, the professional tennis player, 45, was spotted in Italy on Thursday, Sept. 18, wearing a white sun hat with all-cap letter patches that spell out "SIG.RA PRETI." Sig.ra is short for signora, which translates to Mrs., so it looks like Williams is prepared to say "I do" soon.
In the photos, the bride-to-be also wore a white dress and black tennis shoes as she sat in the backseat of a golf cart that drove around the village of Sant'Angelo. Onlookers reported seeing members of the wedding party wearing "Team Groom" and "Team Bride" T-shirts.

After months of rumors, Williams confirmed her engagement to Preti this July. The athlete and the actor-producer were first romantically linked in July 2024, and have kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
"My fiancé is here, and he really encouraged me to keep playing," Williams said during a post-match interview on July 22, 2025.
Earlier this month, Williams' sister, Serena, 43, opened up to PEOPLE about how she was supporting the multi-Grand Slam champion with "so much planning," presumably wedding planning.
"We talk every day now because we have so much going on. Well, let me rephrase that. Venus has so much planning that she's doing that I'm just talking to her all the time," Serena exclusively told PEOPLE.

She revealed that "help" in regard to styling is why her older sister is always giving her a ring as of late. "'Can you help me arrange this? Can you call?' " Serena said of her soon-to-be wed sister. "I'm the person that gets things done."
"She wanted me to help her with some dresses, or was it hairstyles?" Serena also recalled of the specific requests. "She wanted literally 14 hairstyles — and she was like, 'What do you think?' So she sent me her options and within 30 minutes I had them not only done, but in a PDF file what hairstyle looked best on everyone."
"I'm the person that arranges things, I'm like the planner. I plan everything like the event," Serena emphasized. "I'm the person that gets things done."
