Scott Hoying will never forget his wedding to husband Mark Manio — especially their wedding reception.
The Pentatonix singer, 33, married Manio, 34, in July 2023 at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara, Calif., after six years of dating.
Hoying made their wedding day even more memorable after he stepped out of his comfort zone to perform a three-minute medley of some of BLACKPINK's most classic songs.

"It was one of my favorite moments of that whole night, actually, in my whole life, because he just absolutely crushed it," Manio tells PEOPLE in a joint interview with Hoying at the One House Toast to the Emmys event held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles on Thursday, Sept. 11. "And BLACKPINK is my favorite band of all time."
"So for him to do something so special for me at our wedding was so sweet and beyond anything I could have dreamed up for our wedding," Manio continues.
The performance was something that Hoying says made him "really put myself out there," as he calls himself a "pop star with dancing" only in his bedroom with the blinds closed.

Now that Hoying is set up to compete on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars alongside Rylee Arnold, Manio is excited for fans to see what his husband truly has to offer as a dancer.
"I cannot wait just to see everything unfold, because he's an incredible dancer," says Manio. "But I don't think people know how good of a dancer Scott is, because he's never really taken dance classes before or anything of that sort. So I just can't wait for him just to explode with creativity on that ballroom floor."
Manio says that Hoying and Arnold are "so incredible together," and that he is ready to show his support each week.
"I'm gonna be his biggest cheerleader at every show, a big ball of nerves just watching him perform because I know Scott's gonna kill it," says Manio. "But every time I see the lights dim and even when I'm watching TV, it always makes me so nervous."

Hoying is more than ready to compete on DWTS as he tells PEOPLE he has "been wanting it for a while."
"It's so funny. All the other celebrities are like, they've asked me a couple times, and it felt like time to do it," says Hoying. "And I was like, I've asked them every year since 2015 that they finally gave up and let me be on it. The timing is like, so perfect. I feel, mentally, physically, emotionally ready for it."

Dancing with the Stars season 34 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and simulcast on Disney+. The show streams the next day on Hulu.
