Michael B. Jordanis stepping out for the first time since hewon best actorat the2026 Oscarswith a new movie to promote.

Jordan, 39, appeared at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 15, to debut a trailer for his new movieThe Thomas Crown Affair.

The trailer provided a few hints at the plot, revealing how Jordan's Thomas Crown wants to retrieve artifacts stolen from their rightful creators.

PEOPLE confirmed that Jordan woulddirect and star in a remake ofThe Thomas Crown Affairin 2024. The movie is a remake of the original 1968 movie that starredSteve McQueenandFaye Dunaway, which also received a 1999 remake starringPierce BrosnanandRene Russo. Jordan made his directorial debut in 2023 when he directed and starred inCreed III, which made history as thebiggest domestic opening for a sports film everin North America.

The newThomas Crown Affairwill also featureAdria Arjona,Ruth Negga,Aubrey Plaza,Danai Gurira,Kenneth Branagh, Pilou Asbæk,Paapa EssieduandLily Gladstone, asThe Hollywood Reporterreported in January.

Jordan toldTHRin January that he filmedThe Thomas Crown Affairin Europe "for the past year and some change." His take on the film follows a billionaire who steals a painting from New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art and subsequently falls in love with the insurance investigator who is assigned to recover the artwork, as the outlet reported at the time.

“It's a big movie. It's international. It's sexy," Jordan said. "It's a lot of fun. A lot of twists and turns. It's going to have some things that I think audiences won't be expecting that might be a nice treat for them.”

The Thomas Crown Affairis in theaters on March 7, 2027.
