Jason Kelce shares how his process has changed for picking a Halloween costume since welcoming his children

On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, the retired NFL star shared that he essentially aligns his costume with whatever his daughters want to be for the spooky holiday

Jason Kelce is sharing his process for picking a Halloween costume.

On the Wednesday, Oct. 29 episode of the New Heights podcast, the dad of four, 37, explained to his brother and co-host Travis Kelce that he typically aligns his costume with whatever his four daughters — Finnley, 6 months, Bennett, 2, Elliotte, 4, and Wyatt, 6 — want to wear during the spooky holiday.

"For me, my costumes now are just essentially what my kids wanna wear," said Jason, before sharing what his costume will be this year. "Like, I'm Kristoff this year just because Ellie and Wyatt and Benny, they're all going as Elsa. So, I'm Kristoff. I don't wanna really reveal Kylie's costume because that'll get revealed later this week, but it's fantastic."

"I feel like in your 30s, once you start having kids, like, you don't even get to choose anymore," he added. "You get lumped in with your kids."

Jason, who announced his retirement from the NFL in March 2024, shares his daughters with wife Kylie Kelce. During the Thursday, Oct. 23 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie, 33, first teased the family of six's potential costume for this year. Kylie reacted to an idea floated by one of her viewers, suggesting that the family should all dress as Frozen's Elsa for Halloween.

"On our last episode, I said I was done with family Halloween costumes after the Little Mermaid fiasco of 2023. This year, we might just have three Elsas. To which @Dora Winafred responded, 'Hear me out ... six Elsas,' " she said. "Honestly, I'm so into that. I'm so into that."

"If I could get Ellie to not be Ana, I'd do it in a heartbeat," she said. "But, I can't have five Elsas and one Ana. Finn is going to be Ana, so that we have two and two – two Ana, two Elsas. That's the plan though. Who knows?"

During a previous episode of her podcast, Kylie shared her and Jason's list of rules for Halloween. While discussing family costume ideas, Kylie asked her followers about how they get their entire family to dress up in the same theme, especially with young children. She recalled that two years ago, her family was supposed to collectively dress up as characters from The Little Mermaid before sharing that it quickly fell apart.

"I had an Ursula costume that I never put on, but it's in a bin in the basement. Jason was King Triton, Wyatt was supposed to be Ariel. Ellie was Flounder, which was one of the cutest costumes I've ever seen, accompanied with the other one of the other cutest costumes I've ever seen, which was Sebastian, and that was Benny," she began. "In the last — I'm talking the very last — minute before we leave the house, Wyatt decides she doesn't wanna be Ariel."

The doting mom went on to share that their family ended up having a mashup of different costumes.

"So, we then had mom dressed as nothing, dad on the other podcast as King Triton, Wyatt dressed as a witch, and Flounder and Sebastian," she said.

"It was in that moment that I decided, f--- family costumes. F--- them. This year, I'm pretty sure we're gonna have two Elsas, maybe three. Who knows? I don't care," she added. "I don't care because the only thing that a that a family costume would do is make a really cute social media post."
