Andy Sachs forever!

At the 2025 WWD Honors in New York City on Tuesday, Oct., 27, Anne Hathaway appeared in a Valentino gown with a special connection to her role in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada. While speaking to WWD on the red carpet, the actress, 42, shared that she thinks the archival gown was shown the same year she met the designer on the set of the movie.

"I am wearing Valentino archival couture, which is an amazing thing to be able to say," she told the outlet. "And I hope I'm getting this right, but I think this dress was shown in 2005, which is actually the year I met Valentino and Giancarlo. So if that's true, it has extra significance."

The star explained that Valentino co-founders Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti made a cameo in The Devil Wears Prada.

"I had an amazing time," she recalled. "I was kind of starstruck, as I'm sure you can imagine."

When asked about her favorite Valentino dress she's ever worn, Hathaway had a hard time choosing just one.

"I did wear a beautiful archival piece to the Met Gala," she said, recalling the sheer black gown she wore to the 2013 affair, adhering to that year's "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme.

The Princess Diaries star also shouted out the Valentino gown she wore for her 2012 wedding to husband Adam Shulman.

"I can't say anything other than my wedding dress," she said, describing the look as a "fairy tale."

"I was too shy to ask and so [Valentino] offered [to design a dress], which was such an unbelievably generous thing to do," she recalled.

This month, Hathaway wrapped filming on The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The highly anticipated sequel reunites original cast members Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt and welcomes a slew of new additions, such as Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu and Pauline Chalamet, among others.

Plot details have not yet been shared, but additional casting reports in recent months have indicated that Kenneth Branagh will play Miranda Priestly's husband, Deadline reported in June. Adrian Grenier, who starred in the first film as Nate Cooper, is not expected to return for the sequel.

The 2006 film, adapted from former Vogue assistant Lauren Weisberger's novel, follows Hathaway as a recent college graduate named Andy, who is thrust into the high-intensity world of fashion media when she begins working as an assistant to Streep's Miranda Priestly, editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.

Weisberger worked for former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who is said to have inspired the character of Miranda. In June, Wintour stepped back from her position at the magazine after 37 years.
