Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are curious about why comedian Matt Rife purchased the home of Ed and Lorraine Warren
The two actors have portrayed the real-life paranormal investigators in The Conjuring franchise since 2013 and are set to star in The Conjuring: Last Rites
"I'd love to pick his brain," Farmiga says of Rife
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have thoughts on comedian Matt Rife purchasing the home and museum of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The two actors have portrayed the real-life paranormal investigators in The Conjuring franchise since 2013, and they reprise their roles for one final time in The Conjuring: Last Rites.
"I'd love to pick his brain," Farmiga, 52, tells PEOPLE of Rife, adding that she saw the news and sent it to Wilson.

The house is located in Monroe, Conn., and was occupied by the Warrens for several decades. The couple opened a museum in the basement of the home in 1952, according to Connecticut Insider. Ed died in 2006 at the age of 79, and Lorraine died in 2019 at the age of 92.
Farmiga says she had been "so curious as to what was going to happen with that piece of real estate." As for Rife's purchase, she adds that she would like to know "what his intentions are."
Wilson, 52, agrees. "It's a private little street. There are neighbors everywhere. [The Warrens] lived in the same house for a long, long time, so it's not like some estate on a massive acreage. It's just on a block. It's a normal house on a street in Monroe, Connecticut," he says.
"So I am curious. I can't imagine the people that live on that street want lines of cars paying money to go into the house," the actor adds.

Instances like that led to the home being closed to the public in 2019. The zoning violation was issued, per the Monroe Sun, after reports of tourists disturbing neighbors, leaving trash in the area and parking in a manner that blocked access for emergency vehicles.
"I hope he doesn't have a garage sale," Farmiga jokes of Rife, who is now a legal guardian and caretaker of the investigators' collection of 750 artifacts, including the infamous Annabelle doll.
"That'd be funny," Wilson says with a laugh.
Rife announced in a TikTok video Aug. 1 that he and his friend, YouTube creator Elton Castee, "officially purchased" the home and museum. The comedian explained that, while he and Castee are now the "legal guardians and caretakers" of the Warrens' home, as well as the museum and its collection of artifacts, they don't have permanent ownership.
"I must go on record and say we do not legally own the items, but we are the legal guardians and caretakers of the items for at least the next five years," he said.

Matt Rife attends the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 5, 2025 in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Rife added that he has future plans for the residence, teasing that the house will "soon" be open for guests, with options to visit for a day, night or weekend. The museum will also be open for tours, he wrote in the caption, "so you yourself can experience and learn all the haunted history surrounding this amazing place."
Farmiga and Wilson are gearing up to say farewell to their characters in The Conjuring: Last Rites, the fourth main entry in the series and the ninth movie in the overall franchise.
