Just days ago, Emma Stone stepped onto the Venice Film Festival red carpet in a custom, shimmering Louis Vuitton gown. The bubble skirt-slash-column dress hybrid was made for a Hollywood princess, with a fitted bodice and thin, crystal-embellished straps. And, if all eyes weren't already on Stone for her performance in Bugonia, the sparkling sequin accents would have captured them instantly.

But now, the actor has traded in the glitz and glamour of Italy for a rustic, mountain-approved wardrobe. Over in Colorado for the Telluride Film Festival, where Stone continued to promote her forthcoming Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, the energy has been more relaxed. More of a celebration than a competition, the weekend-long event might be smaller than its Venice and Toronto counterparts, but is certainly just as mighty.

For her Colorado look, Stone and stylist Petra Flannery opted for a darker color palette and heavier fabric choices, appropriate for the colder mountain climate. The two styled an oversize, brown suede jacket over black leather pants and a cozy sweater, and paired the fit with tortoiseshell sunnies and pointed, square-toe boots.

Arguably the best detail, however, was the Sophie Buhai shoelace choker that was wrapped around Stone's neck, designed in brown cotton with silver accents at either end. It was an elevated take on the favored accessory of the late 2010s.

Bugonia, Stone's latest in a series of successful collaborations with Lanthimos (2023's Poor Things, 2024's Kinds of Kindness), follows two conspiracy theorists convinced that a high-powered CEO is an alien, on Earth to destroy the planet. Also starring Alicia Silverstone and Jesse Plemons, it will be released on October 31.
