NFL quarterback Sam Howell traded in a move with huge implications for Aaron Rodgers
Another door has closed on a potential home for Aaron Rodgers the Minnesota Vikings trading for a quarterback to backup JJ McCarthy. They've recruited Sam Howell from the Seattle Seahawks to flesh out their quarterback room. Rodgers was linked - and believed to be keen - to play for the Vikings but the organization were always set to stick with McCarthy for 2025. It would mean that as it stands, the only realistic options for Rodgers are the Pittsburgh Steelers or retirement at age 41.
