Sauce Gardner says he's being targeted by the officials.

Gardner, following the New York Jets' 27-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Monday night, lit up the referees for what he felt were biased calls against him and his teammates. Most notably, the cornerback was called for a big pass interference penalty in the third quarter of Monday's contest at Hard Rock Stadium, which helped set up a Dolphins touchdown.

But it's not an issue with Gardner, one of the better cornerbacks in the league, specifically. He says he thinks he and the Jets are getting called for more penalties because they keep losing games.

"I'm personally frustrated," Gardner said. "I feel like me personally, us not winning, I watch football all the time and I just feel like — I don't know if this is wrong to say — but I think I get called for more stuff just based off of us just not winning.

"I watch these winning programs and there's some egregious things and it don't get called, letting the players play."

Those comments are sure to lead to a fine from the NFL in the coming days.

Gardner, who is the highest-paid cornerback in the league, struggled Monday night. Outside of the pass interference call that helped lead to a Dolphins touchdown, Gardner allowed tight end Darren Waller to catch a touchdown on fourth down early in the second quarter. That score, which put Miami up 10-0 at the time, was Waller's first since 2023.

In total, the Jets were called for 13 penalties worth 101 yards Monday night. They had three turnovers and allowed De'Von Achane to run for 99 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. The Dolphins, now 1-3, also lost Tyreek Hill to a brutal knee injury in the game.

Justin Fields went 20-of-27 passing for 226 yards with a touchdown. He also led the team on the ground with 81 rushing yards and a score on seven carries. Breece Hall had 81 yards on 14 carries, and Garrett Wilson had 82 yards and a touchdown on six catches.

Gardner had two total tackles in the loss. He's up to 12 this season, his fourth in the league.

While it's hard to know how real Gardner's officiating claims are, he is right about one thing: The Jets aren't winning. They are now 0-4 on the season, making them one of just three winless teams still in the league. The Jets haven't made the playoffs since 2010, and they have only a single winning season since then. They hold just a 36-48 record since the start of the 2018 season, too, which is the worst record in the league in that span.

Winning games may not get them calls. But it certainly would make Gardner feel better.

"We don't win, and I feel like we don't get the calls that we should get, and we do get called for calls that we probably shouldn't get called for," Gardner said. "Obviously that's not the only reason I want to win. I want to win because I don't like losing."

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called on China to import Australian iron ore without hindrance after reports on Wednesday that a state-run Chinese iron ore buyer had told steelmakers and traders to temporarily stop buying shipments from global mining giant BHP.

China Mineral Resources Group Co.'s move against the world's biggest miner, which is based in Melbourne, escalates an impasse in contract negotiations, news media reported.

Albanese said he was "concerned" by the reports of the disruption to Australia's most lucrative export.

"I want to see Australian iron ore be able to be exported into China without hindrance. That is important. It makes a major contribution to China's economy, but also to Australia's," Albanese told reporters.

"These measures are always disappointing. But let's hope certainly that they are very much short term. Sometimes when people are negotiating over price, sometimes these things will occur. But I want to see this resolved quickly," Albanese added.

China Mineral Resources Group Co. asked domestic buyers this week to suspend purchases of any dollar-denominated seaborne cargo from BHP, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg, asking not to be identified because they were discussing private deliberations.

It means new deals can't be signed, including for cargo that has already left Australia, where BHP's mines are located.

The Chinese company, created by Beijing to bolster the country's sway in the global iron ore trade, did not respond to requests for comment, Bloomberg reported.

BHP told the AP the company did not comment on commercial negotiations.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers said he would arrange a meeting with BHP chief executive Mike Henry to discuss the Chinese trade.

"I've seen those reports, they're concerning reports. Ultimately, though, they are about the commercial arrangements between two companies and so in one respect, a matter for the company to work through," Chalmers told reporters, referring to reports of the BHP boycott. .

"This is a government that advocates for Australia's interests on the world stage, with our major trading partners. You can expect that to be the case again. (We will) work through these issues calmly and carefully, advocating for the workers and businesses and investors of our country," Chalmers added.

China has lifted a series of official and unofficial trade barriers since Albanese's government was first elected in 2022 that had been costing Australian exporters up to 20 billion Australian dollars ($13 billion) a year. But Australian iron ore was spared previous trade barriers due to its importance to Chinese steelmakers.

It appears Ryan Murphy has seen the calls for him to tackle a series about Luigi Mangione, the young man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson late last year.

The Emmy-winning television creator and writer revealed that he has, in fact, considered developing a season of his Netflix true crime anthology Monster about Mangione while speaking to Variety for a larger profile on Charlie Hunnam, who is set to portray serial killer and body snatcher Ed Gein in the upcoming season 3 of Monster.

"We have a 'maybe one day' file," Murphy said of stories that just aren't ready yet, confirming that Mangione is on his radar. However, it's still much too early to map out that narrative. "We know nothing about him," Murphy said. "There was nothing to write — we didn't have information yet. Maybe something will come out in the trial."

Mangione, a 26-year-old from Maryland, captured national attention after he was taken into custody for the fatal shooting of Thompson during the early hours of Dec. 4, 2024 outside of a hotel in Manhattan. Prosecutors have maintained that Mangione was driven by anger against the health care industry and corporate greed, citing personal diary entries obtained following his arrest.

Mangione was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury in April on 11 counts, including one count of murder in the first degree and other weapons and forgery charges. He faces life in prison without possibility of parole if convicted. Mangione, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, also faces charges in Pennsylvania, where he was arrested after a week-long manhunt.

Murphy fans have been campaigning for a series about Mangione since the arrest, making note of the uncanny resemblance between him and actor Dave Franco. Franco is well aware of the fervent fan casting. "I've never received more texts in my life about anything," Franco told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year about the folks who've reached out about a Mangione project.

"Not just friends — anyone who has my phone number has reached out about it," Franco said, adding that no official offers have come in just yet.

Several documentaries about Mangione have already been released, including Hulu and 20/20's Manhunt: Luigi Mangione and the CEO Murder and HBO Max's Who is Luigi Mangione? Alex Gibney, the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind 2007's Taxi to the Dark Side, is also developing a project about the shooting.

Tyrese Gibson failed to turn himself in to police after an arrest warrant was issued because his four Cane Corso dogs mauled and killed a neighbor's dog in Georgia in mid-September, police said Tuesday.

The warrant for cruelty to animals issued for the "Fast & Furious" actor is part of an "ongoing issue" following multiple calls about the dogs in the past few months, Fulton County Police Captain Nicole Dwyer said.

"Our priority is the safety of the community and when there's so many incidents of dogs, especially large dogs like this, getting out and then killing an animal, you know, what's next? A child?" Dwyer said. "Our main priority is safety and that's why we want the dogs in custody."

Gibson had received multiple warnings before the warrant was issued, and police had attempted to cite him before the attack, but the actor wasn't at his Atlanta home. Dwyer said she spoke with Gibson's lawyer last week and informed them the actor had to turn himself in by Friday.

Gibson's attorney, Gabe Banks, wrote to in an email to The the actor is "cooperating fully with authorities to address and resolve this matter responsibly." Gibson wasn't home when the incident took place, Banks wrote, and "immediately made the difficult decision to rehome his dogs to a safe and loving environment."

Just after 10 p.m. on Sept. 18, a neighbor of Gibson's, whose house is half a mile away, let their dog, a small spaniel, out to their yard and returned five minutes later to find the dog had been attacked. The dog was rushed to a veterinary hospital, but did not survive, Dwyer said.

The four dogs were then seen at the next-door house, where the owner called police, saying she was afraid to leave her house. Animal control officers responded and were able to keep the dogs back while the neighbor went to her vehicle.

Police issued a search warrant for Gibson's property on Sept. 22, but the actor and the dogs were not at the residence.

Banks wrote that Gibson "extends his deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved dog to this tragic incident."

Gibson posted a video to Instagram that included various clips of his dogs early Monday. He didn't speak in the video, but rather included audio from the podcast, "The Breakfast Club," where hosts discussed the case.

Two California sisters missing for 36 years were found alive and well in their home state with the help of familial DNA, authorities investigating their case in Arizona said.

When they were discovered in August, Jasmin and Elizabeth Ramos were living under new names given by foster parents who raised them in Ventura County, California, unaware of their missing status.

Now authorities want to find the killer of their mother, Marina Ramos of Bakersfield, California, whose body was found with multiple stab wounds in Mohave County, Arizona, on Dec. 12, 1989, the local sheriff's office said.

Jasmin was 2 months old and Elizabeth was 14 months old when they went missing that month and were found days later abandoned in an Oxnard, California, park bathroom, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said in a Sept. 22 Facebook post.

"A witness walking in the area heard children crying in the women's restroom," the office said. "He asked a woman to check the bathroom, and she found the girls laying on the wet floor with no adult nearby."

At the time, authorities didn't make the connection between the girls and the killed woman.

"The girls were eventually adopted by a couple in Ventura County and were raised together in a loving home," the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said.

The office's Special Investigations Unit, established in 2019 to revive cold cases, reopened the Ramos file at a time when the slain victim was still unidentified, her girls were considered missing and there were no suspect leads, the sheriff's office said.

In 2022, fingerprints from Marina Ramos' body matched those on file belonging to a woman named Maria Ortiz, who had been arrested and fingerprinted following allegations of shoplifting in Kern County, California, in June 1989, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said.

A Bakersfield address for Ortiz led investigators to a roommate, who said she had a cousin named Marina Ramos who had been missing since 1989, the office said.

"It was later learned that Maria Ortiz was an alias used by Marina Ramos," the office said.

Investigators also discovered that Ortiz had two young daughters who remained missing.

Mohave County Sheriff's Office investigators, led by Lori Miller, a former Los Angeles Police Department detective, got a DNA sample from a relative of Marina Ramos and used law enforcement and family DNA databases in hopes of finding the girls, the office said.

They discovered one of the sisters, who said the pair had been abandoned in 1989, the sheriff's office said. The other sister kept newspaper clippings that contained news of the abandonment, it said.

While the sheriff's office in Arizona celebrated the discovery, calling Miller's feat "unbelievable work," a key portion of the case remains unsolved: who killed Marina Ramos?

"The search for the suspects involved in the homicide of Marina Ramos continues," the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said.

The office said a witness reported seeing Marina Ramos with two men and her daughters at the Oxnard park where the girls were abandoned, and that the five were also seen in a compact, black pickup.

Investigators hope that observation might jog someone's memory and help authorities track down Marina Ramos' killers. Anyone with information was urged to contact the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

The White House is withdrawing the nomination of E.J. Antoni to head the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a White House Official confirmed to CBS News.

The official did not provide a reason for the withdrawal on Tuesday, but said Antoni was a "brilliant economist" and that President Trump would announce a new nominee in the near future.

CNN was first to report the nomination had been withdrawn.

Antoni was nominated for the role by Mr. Trump in August, after the president fired former BLS Commissioner Erika McEntarfer earlier in the month following a weaker-than-expected jobs report, which he blamed her for.

Mr. Trump at the time described the report, which showed employers added 73,000 jobs in July — which fell below predictions, as "a shock," and said a sizeable revision showing 258,000 fewer jobs were created in May and June than previously reported was a "major mistake."

Mr. Trump did not cite any evidence for his claims, and the BLS frequently revises its reports.

The numbers are often revised because not all recipients reply to BLS surveys immediately. When more businesses report data after the monthly report is released, that leads to revisions — both up and down.

The same day his nomination was announced, Antoni suggested in an interview on Fox News Digital that the BLS should suspend its monthly jobs report and instead "keep publishing the more accurate, though less timely, quarterly data."

Antoni is a fellow at the conservative Heritage Foundation think tank, and he holds a doctorate in economics from Northern Illinois University. He has defended Mr. Trump's economic policies in the past and had criticized the BLS on numerous occasions prior to his nomination. He last year called the BLS' health insurance figures "phoney baloney" and posted on social media that "the 'L' is silent" in BLS' name.

"DOGE needs to take a chainsaw to the BLS...," he wrote in a November post on X.

"There are better ways to collect, process, and disseminate data—that is the task for the next BLS commissioner, and only consistent delivery of accurate data in a timely manner will rebuild the trust that has been lost over the last several years," he wrote shortly after Mr. Trump fired the former BLS chief.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) -Pope Leo on Tuesday appeared to offer his strongest criticism yet of U.S. President Donald Trump's hardline immigration policies, questioning whether they were in line with the Catholic Church's pro-life teachings.

"Someone who says I am against abortion but I am in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States, I don't know if that's pro-life," the pontiff told journalists outside his residence in Castel Gandolfo.

The Catholic Church's position that life is sacred from conception until natural death is one of the 1.4-billion-member denomination's strongest teachings.

Leo, the first U.S. pope, was responding to a question from a U.S. journalist who asked about the country's politics.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Elected in May to replace the late Pope Francis, Leo has shown a much more reserved style than his predecessor, who frequently criticized the Trump administration.

Leo was asked about a decision by the archdiocese of Chicago to give an award to Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, a Democrat who supports abortion rights. The move has attracted vocal criticism from conservative Catholics, including several U.S. bishops.

"It is very important to look at the overall work that the Senator has done," said the pope.

"I understand the difficulty and the tensions but I think, as I myself have spoken in the past, it's important to look at many issues that are related to what is the teaching of the Church," he said.

"Someone who says I am against abortion but says I am in favour of the death penalty is not really pro-life," said the pope.

PERTH, Australia (AP) — Just days after playing in his 150th test for Australia, Wallabies prop James Slipper said Wednesday he will retire after his 151st — Saturday's Bledisloe Cup match against New Zealand.

The 36-year-old Slipper joins Welsh player Alun Wyn Jones (171) and New Zealand's Sam Whitelock (153), in becoming just the third player to reach 150 tests when he ran out in Auckland last week in Australia's 33-24 loss to the All Blacks at Eden Park.

Slipper's test career will finish where it started in Perth, Western Australia, site of Saturday's match, where he debuted in 2010 as a 21-year-old off the bench against England at Subiaco Oval.

A Gold Coast junior in Queensland state, Slipper became the Wallabies' 83rd test captain in 2015 and has led Australia 15 times.

When Slipper was selected for the Wallabies' 2023 World Cup campaign in France — having previously been part of Australia's 2011, 2015 and 2019 campaigns — he joined George Gregan and Adam Ashley-Cooper as the only Australians to play at four World Cup tournaments.

"Representing the Wallabies has been the single proudest achievement of my rugby career and a privilege I have never taken for granted," Slipper said in a Rugby Australia statement.

"It feels like the right time for me to step away from test rugby. There's a number of good young props coming through who will need time in the saddle leading into what's going to be an unbelievable experience of a home Rugby World Cup in 2027."

Rugby Australia chief executive Phil Waugh said Slipper "will go down in history as one of the most durable, dependable and respected players to ever pull on a test jersey anywhere in the world."

"To reach the milestones he has across 16 professional seasons, particularly as a front rower, is testament to his professionalism and the way he goes about his work," Waugh added.

LeBron James won't be available for the start of Lakers training camp.

Head coach J.J. Redick announced Tuesday that James is dealing with "nerve irritation in the glute" and will have a slow ramp-up to the regular season.

"Nerve irritation in the glute" doesn't come with a boilerplate prognosis. From Redick's explanation, it doesn't sound like a significant concern. But for a 40-year-old, 23rd-year veteran with more mileage on his body than most anyone in the history of professional sports, any ailment comes with concern.

Hence, the slower ramp up for James in training camp.

"It's probably a little bit longer of a ramp-up leading up to opening night for him," Redick told reporters at practice on Tuesday. "In year 23, uncharted territory here."

Redick then acknowledged that the Lakers might not have optimally managed James' reps last preseason.

"I felt in talking with performance and talking with [trainer Mike Mancias] and LeBron, he probably did too much last year in camp. Which was great for me as a first-year head coach to get buy-in from him.

"But it will be a slower process with him leading into the first game. He's obviously got 22 years so far of wear and tear on his body. He's dealing with a little bit of nerve irritation in the glute. We're playing the long game with LeBron."

James had a relatively healthy regular season in 2024-25 while playing in 70 of the Lakers' 82 games. It was his second-highest game tally since playing a full 82-game season for the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2018-19 season.

But his injuries were high profile. Foot and ankle soreness kept James out of the All-Star game after he'd played in 20 straight. He suffered a sprained MCL in a Game 5 playoff loss to the Timberwolves that would have sidelined him for multiple weeks had the Lakers not been eliminated with the loss.

The Lakers are hoping James can stay relatively healthy for a run at a title what could be his last season playing alongside Luka Dončić. Limiting wear and tear during training camp would likely be the call whether or not James was dealing with an injury.

When asked what she was taking away from her experience on the show after her own elimination last season, Delvey bluntly replied with a one-word answer: "Nothing"

Lauren Jauregui was shockingly eliminated from Dancing with the Stars season 34.

On the Sept. 30 episode of the ABC dance competition, the Fifth Harmony singer, 29, was eliminated during the third week of competition, the show's TikTok night.

After Andy Richter and Elaine Hendrix were determined to be safe, the audience was left shocked to learn that Jauregui was going home.

When asked how she was feeling, she responded with one word, "Pissed," eliciting a laugh from her partner Brandon Armstrong.

"I'm so grateful to have had you as a partner," she told him.

The moment was reminiscent of another iconic Dancing with the Stars moment.

Last year, host Julianne Hough asked Anna Delvey what she was taking away from her experience on the show after she was eliminated. Delvey bluntly replied with a one-word answer: "Nothing," she said.

Following the show, the convicted con artist's dance partner Ezra Sosa told Extra that Delvey's parting words were anything but unexpected.

"I knew she was going to say something very iconic and something very 'Anna Delvey' with her exit," he said. "Of course she has to — it's very typical. We would expect nothing less of her."

However, the professional dancer shared that Delvey apologized to him for ending his first season as a pro early.

"She honestly kept on apologizing to me," he said. "She felt super sorry that my first season was cut short."

Sosa loved the response so much that he later ended up getting the word "nothing" tattooed on his upper back above the number 33. "I love this cast sm," Sosa captioned a TikTok video showing off the new ink.

Delvey later explained on an episode of her podcast misSPELLING that she responded that way, "Because that was the truth."

"You guys told me what I'm supposed to do. I tried to do it and then I still was rejected. And I'm taking away nothing," Delvey told Spelling, 51. "This is what I'm taking away from it, because your advice was worthless."

Delvey then doubled down on her original reply.

"I really did not take away much from this experience," she continued on misSPELLING. "I think I had to be on the defensive, especially after all the backlash that I received being cast on the show, even though the producers [tried] to defend me. And I think everyone on the cast was generally very nice to me. But in the end, I don't know."

In a series of images shared to her Instagram account in a Monday, Sept. 29 carousel, the Marty Supreme actress, 53, showed off a head-turning way to welcome a then-upcoming guest on The Goop Podcast.

In later snaps, the Iron Man actress modeled several more outfits — including a classic black halter-neck dress, a relaxed fit gray T-shirt dress with short sleeves paired with black slip-on sandals, and two black-and-white looks.

And her cover photo wasn't the only time in the carousel that Paltrow went pantsless.

Those bold black aviators made another appearance as she paired them with a striped white button-down blouse and brown undies.

No other clues were offered as to who Paltrow's guest would be in the photos, but on Tuesday, Sept. 30, it was revealed to be actress Kelly Rutherford.

"Muse. Mother. Icon," the Shallow Hal star and The Goop Podcast captioned a joint post on Instagram, which also included a clip of Paltrow and Rutherford talking during their interview.

The caption continued, "@kellyrutherford on love, resilience, and living with intention — new episode of the @goop podcast out now."

"The 90s, we kind of could," the Gossip Girl alum, 56, said in the reel. "It was still okay to sit in the bathtub with a cigarette, have a good cry, it was normal."

Rutherford, who played Lily van der Woodsen, a mother of two and New York socialite on the series, has long been known for her "effortlessly elegant style."

A government shutdown could add another headwind to an already-precarious economy, but most analysts say that even a prolonged hiatus would have only a limited impact on the wider U.S. economy.

With Republican and Democratic leadership at an impasse over the extension of health insurance subsidies, the U.S. government could temporarily cease operations at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday unless a deal is struck.

Government shutdowns put hundreds of thousands of "nonessential" federal workers on furlough, meaning they are forced to take a leave of absence without pay, while other "essential" workers will be required to show up to work without getting paid either. Often, such shutdowns lead to the closure of national parks and museums, fewer health inspections, slower services for veterans, longer wait times on Social Security phone lines and more.

While the government plays a big part in the economy, history shows that the lasting effects of shutdowns are limited.

Economic growth can be dented, but slightly and temporarily, with an array of estimates from Wall Street as well as the Congressional Budget Office finding that even the longest shutdown ever — 35 days in 2018 and 2019 — shaved only as much as 0.4% from total economic output.

The full impact will likely depend on how many workers are furloughed or fired. In the 2013 government shutdown, 40% of all civilian employees were furloughed. If a similar number of workers are furloughed during this shutdown, U.S. economic growth could be slowed by about 0.15% per week.

In a break from previous shutdowns, the president and his administration have threatened not just furloughs, but permanent job cuts in the event the government comes to a halt.

This shutdown comes at a particularly perilous time for the U.S. economy. Inflation has been rising every month since April, and the labor market is weakening at what appears to be a rapid pace.

In early September, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the U.S. economy created 911,000 fewer jobs than previously thought. That came on the heels of a jobs report days earlier that showed the economy added just 22,000 jobs in August.

The most recent jobs report also revised June's job growth into negative territory.

A government shutdown would delay the next jobs report, due to be released Friday. It's unclear how soon it would be released after the government reopens.

That could make the Fed's next rate decision in October more difficult. "There is no risk-free path," Fed Chair Jerome Powell said a week ago. "Uncertainty around the path of inflation remains high."

The central bank recently cut rates for the first time this year, but now has to carefully balance inflation and a weakening labor market. Normally, a central bank would hike rates to slow inflation and cut rates to spur job creation.

It's a "challenging situation," Powell said.

Markets tend to fare reasonably well during government shutdowns.

Truist Wealth, a financial advisory company, found that there was little change on average to the S&P 500 across the 20 government shutdowns that have occurred since 1976.

In the long run, a shutdown can have even less impact on the markets. "On average, the S&P 500 has risen about 12% in the 12 months following shutdowns," Saxo Bank's global head of investment strategy, Jacob Falkencrone, wrote Tuesday.

The last major shutdown in 2018-2019 is the outlier. The S&P 500 posted a more than 10% rise during that shutdown, but there was a major sell-off ahead of that impasse due to other factors, such as fears about declining corporate earnings and the Fed raising rates.

Heading into a likely shutdown this week, the S&P 500 is up more than 13% year-to-date. The Nasdaq Composite is up 17%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up nearly 9%.

The Dollar Index (the value of the dollar vs. a basket of foreign currencies including the pound sterling, euro and yen) often wobbles but doesn't usually move decisively on a shutdown, according to analysts. U.S. Treasury bonds sometimes rally on a pickup in demand for "safe haven" assets but typically are largely unaffected by a government closure in the long run.

This year, the Dollar Index is down nearly 10%, due in large part from uncertainty about the president's sweeping tariff and trade agenda.

A government shutdown could also lead to questions about the U.S. credit rating.

But "a government shutdown means the government can issue debt but not spend it. The [One Big Beautiful Bill Act] raised the debt ceiling so, most likely, a credit downgrade is off the table," according to JPMorgan Chase analysts.

However, the three major rating agencies have warned repeatedly about rising fiscal and budget risks, including in May, when Moody's downgraded the U.S. credit rating.

All three have continued to underscore that they believe the strength and diversity of the U.S. economy, paired with independent and effective monetary policy at the Fed, will likely persist even as some "institutional arrangements can be tested at times," as Moody's put it.

(Reuters) -Zillow allegedly paid Redfin $100 million to stop competing against it in online apartment rental listings, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said in a lawsuit on Tuesday against the online real estate platforms.

The agency said the alleged deal reduces competition in an already concentrated market and is likely to drive up the cost of advertising vacancies in multifamily rental buildings.

"Paying off a competitor to stop competing against you is a violation of federal antitrust laws," said Daniel Guarnera, who leads the FTC's bureau of competition.
