<p>Nicole Scherzinger marked her 47th birthday on Monday, June 29, by sharing two videos via Instagram, both of which show her frolicking on the beach in a black-and-white bikini</p>

<p>"46, you were golden," she captioned one clip of her posing against some rocks and splashing in the shallow waters while she reflected on how grateful she is for all that has happened over the past year in the caption of the second clip</p>

<p>Scherzinger's birthday comes hot on the heels of the Tony Awards, where she took home the award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role of Norma Desmond in the Broadway smash Sunset Boulevard.</p>

<p>The former Pussycat Dolls singer marked her milestone birthday on Monday, June 29, by sharing two videos on Instagram. Both videos show the pop star on the beach in a tiny, triangle zebra print bikini and a wide-brimmed hat.</p>

<p>The first clip shared with her 7.1 M followers shows her posing against the rocks and splashing in the shallow waters. It is captioned, "46 you were Golden!" And showing she has a good sense of humor about growing older, she has also added the caption, "POV: People born in 2020 are turning 25 and so am I."</p>

<p>Broadway star Scherzinger is feeling more reflective in the second video, which shows her sitting cross-legged in the same zebra print bikini and doing a yoga pose on a rock against the backdrop of a sunset. "Reflecting with deep gratitude as another year rises on the horizon," she captioned that clip. "So grateful for every breath, for every sunrise and sunset. Thank you, God, for another year. ☀️🩵"</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the star shared an insight into her birthday celebrations via her Instagram stories. One video shows the huge effort her Sunset Boulevard costars made to ensure her "first birthday on Broadway" was fun. <p>(Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump's administration cancelled a major contract to supply emergency kits for rape survivors in Congo as violence surged in the east this year, leaving thousands without access to life-saving medication, the United Nations and aid groups said.</p>

<p>The emergency kits include medication to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, as well as unwanted pregnancies. The decision to cancel the contract for around 100,000 post-rape kits has not been reported previously.</p>

<p>The U.S. Agency for International Development contract was intended to resupply Congo's war-ravaged eastern provinces for the year, and left thousands of health centres without provisions when fighting was escalating. The State Department, which manages USAID, did not respond to repeated requests for comment by email and text message.</p>

<p>Reuters spoke to officials at the United Nations and four other aid groups that treat rape survivors in eastern Congo for this story. A team also visited a site in South Kivu province to speak directly to healthcare workers and survivors.</p>

<p>"When you look into the eyes of a rape victim, you get the impression that her gaze is dead," one health worker in Congo, who declined to be named for fear of reprisals, said. "You never forget standing in front of that person and telling them that you don't have any medicine, that you don't know how to help them, and asking them to leave."</p>

<p>Rwanda-backed M23 rebels swept across the east of the country in January, seizing two major cities, in an escalation of a decades-long conflict. The UN has said that some 67,000 incidences of rape have been recorded since then with many more likely going unreported.</p>

<p>Sexual violence as a weapon of war in the Congo has been documented by generations of UN experts and aid groups.</p>

<p>Trump ordered a 90-day pause on foreign aid after taking office in January and halted grants by USAID.</p>

<p>USAID's contract with a supplier for the kits was in the pipeline when billionaire Elon Musk, who at the time was spearheading a department to improve U.S. government efficiency, said he was shuttering the agency in January.</p>

<p>According to the UN and other aid organisations, USAID immediately cancelled the contract, which would have resupplied thousands of health centres by March. Reuters has agreed not to name the supplier to avoid compromising its sensitive operations in Congo.</p>

<p>"When USAID decided to terminate the large funding they had for this American NGO, this American NGO immediately stopped all activities," said Noemi Dalmonte, the deputy representative in Kinshasa for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). "The pipeline got disrupted at a very unfortunate time."</p>

<p>The post-rape kits come in a box containing HIV medication to prevent infection within 72 hours, antibiotics and testing for sexually transmitted diseases and emergency contraception. The supplies paid for by USAID were meant to reach over 2,000 facilities.</p>

<p>"This kit is truly important to reassure the woman who has been really traumatized that she won't get AIDS, that she won't have an unwanted pregnancy, and that she won't contract venereal diseases," said Amadou Bocoum, the country director of CARE International.</p>

<p>The UNFPA shared a document with Reuters that indicated that only seven out of 34 health zones in North Kivu have a minimal supply of post-rape kits left. Less than one-in-four survivors' needs are currently being met. Only 13% of survivors that request help receive medication to prevent HIV within the recommended 72-hour window.</p>

<p>While the U.S. State Department has said it will continue to support life-saving programs worldwide, the contract to supply post-rape kits to survivors remains cancelled.</p>

<p>Trump has said that the U.S. pays disproportionately for foreign aid and he wants other countries to shoulder more of the burden. The U.S. disbursed $65 billion in foreign assistance last year, nearly half of it via USAID, according to government data.</p>

<p>The UNFPA and other aid organisations are trying to raise around $35 million to cover the loss of funding from the United States from donors such as the Gates Foundation and other Western nations.</p>

<p>The consequences of the cancellation include survivor deaths, the spread of HIV, unwanted pregnancies, and unsafe abortions with high maternal-mortality risk, the UNFPA document said.</p>

<p>DALLAS (AP) — Former Texas congressman Colin Allred launched another run for the U.S. Senate on Tuesday after the Democrat's challenge against Republican Sen. Ted Cruz last year broke records for spending but did not deliver his party the breakthrough it has sought for decades in the state.</p>

<p>This time, Allred is seeking the seat of Republican Sen. John Cornyn, who is facing a primary challenge from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in what is likely to be one of the GOP's most contentious contests in 2026.</p>

<p>Allred's announcement comes just seven months after he lost by nearly 9 percentage points to Cruz. That race was one of the most expensive in the country last cycle, with Democrats spending more than $130 million trying to unseat Cruz.</p>

<p>A former NFL linebacker and attorney, Allred is the first high-profile Democrat to declare himself a candidate in the race that Democrats see as their best shot next year at ending a 30-year drought in statewide elections in Texas. Another former Democratic congressman, Beto O'Rourke, who came within 3 percentage points of defeating Cruz in 2018, also hasn't ruled out a run.</p>

<p>In a video announcing his candidacy, Allred took aim at both Cornyn and Paxton and cast himself as a fighter for those struggling to get ahead.</p>

<p>"I get it. Real change might feel impossible," Allred said. "But I'm not giving up."</p>

<p>Allred tried to position himself as a moderate in last year's race and made protecting abortion rights a centerpiece of his campaign. His supporters included Texas women who had serious pregnancy complications after the state's abortion ban took effect.</p>

<p>But his campaign drew criticism early on from some Democrats who grew restless with Allred's strategy of not packing his schedule with raucous rallies or investing more in smaller corners of Texas, including cities along the border with Mexico.</p>

<p>In the end, Texas Democrats' streak of losses in statewide races continued while Republicans kept making gains along the predominately Hispanic border with Mexico, which had long been a Democratic stronghold.</p>

<p>Allred played four seasons in the NFL, all with the Tennessee Titans, after being undrafted out of Baylor University. He entered Congress after flipping a Republican district in Dallas in 2018.</p>

<p>Former astronaut Terry Virts also entered the U.S. Senate race as a Democratic candidate.</p>

<p>Looming over the GOP primary between Cornyn and Paxton is whether and when President Donald Trump will make an endorsement. In April, Trump praised both candidates and said he would make a decision later.</p>

<p>DUBAI (Reuters) -Dubai commuters may soon have a new way to skip traffic: air taxis.</p>

<p>Joby Aviation conducted the first test flight of its fully-electric air taxi in the emirate this week, a major milestone in the city's efforts to integrate airborne transport into existing mobility networks as early as next year.</p>

<p>Joby hopes its air-taxis will ease pressure on existing ground transportation and offer travelers a faster alternative as Dubai faces increasing congestion.</p>

<p>"We want to change the way people commute," Anthony Khoury, Joby's UAE General Manager, said.</p>

<p>A journey from Dubai's main airport DXB to Palm Jumeirah aboard the Joby Aerial Taxi will take roughly twelve minutes, the company predicts, as opposed to 45 minutes by car.</p>

<p>While Joby's long-term ambition is to make its aerial taxis "affordable for everybody to use," Khoury says, they acknowledge early pricing will likely target higher-income travelers. "As with any novel technology, early days might be a bit more premium."</p>

<p>The demonstration flight was held on Monday at an isolated desert site southeast of Dubai's downtown and was designed to emulate a typical aerial taxi journey, according to Joby Aviation officials.</p>

<p>In a ceremony attended by senior government officials, transport executives and company representatives, the experimental aircraft executed a vertical takeoff, flew for several miles, and then returned for a vertical landing.</p>

<p>The Joby Aerial Taxi, the flagship electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developed by the California-based company, can fly distances of up to 160 kilometers (100 miles) at speeds reaching 320km/hr (200mph).</p>

<p>Fully electric, with zero operating emissions, Joby's air-taxi is designed to be both eco-friendly and quiet enough for commercial use in dense urban areas.</p>

<p>"It will be flying in the city, next to residential areas, and hopefully people will barely notice it," Khoury said.</p>

<p>While eVTOLs such as Joby's have been hailed as the future of urban air the industry still faces major hurdles -- including securing regulatory approval and developing sufficient vertiport infrastructure.</p>

<p>Morgan Stanley downgraded Joby's stock price target from $10 to $7 in April, flagging near-term execution risks and broader aerospace industry concerns, including tariffs and supply-chain issues. Joby is currently trading at $10.55.</p>

<p>In early 2024, Joby signed a contract with Dubai's Roads and Transit Authority that awarded the company exclusive rights to operate aerial taxis in the city for the next six years.</p>

<p>The company plans to inaugurate the emirate's commercial air-taxi service in 2026, with four initial vertiports located at Dubai International Airport (DXB), Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Downtown and Dubai Marina.</p>

<p>"In aviation, you don't see transformations like this," said Didier Papadopoulos, Joby's President of Original Equipment Manufacturing.</p>

<p>"Every once in a while, you have this propulsive move into the future. What you're witnessing here is really exciting, and I'm excited for you to be riding this one point in the future."</p>

<p>BANGKOK (Reuters) -Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit will become caretaker premier after a court suspended Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from duty on Tuesday, Tourism Minister Sorawong Thienthong told Reuters.</p>

<p>Suriya, 70, also currently serves as transport minister. Paetongtarn has 15 days to respond the Constitutional Court after she was accused of dishonesty and breaching ethical standards over a leaked telephone conversation with Cambodia's influential former leader Hun Sen last month.</p>

<p>BERLIN (AP) — A man armed with a "sharp object" attacked people at a company in Germany, killing at least one, police said.</p>

<p>Two people were seriously wounded in the attack Tuesday in Mellrichstadt, a small town east of Frankfurt in southern Germany, police said in posts on social network X.</p>

<p>A 21-year-old German man was arrested.</p>

<p>There was no danger to the public, authorities said.</p>

<p>Legendary '70s Rock Band Teases Possible Reunion Tour — 'We'll See What Happens' originally appeared on Parade.</p>

<p>Legendary rock group Aerosmith announced in 2024 that they'd be retiring from touring following frontman Steven Tyler's serious vocal injury.</p>

<p>But now, nearly a year later, guitarist Joe Perry is teasing that a comeback may still be on the table.</p>

<p>While appearing on "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" on SiriusXM, Perry revealed he still holds out hope for a reunion.</p>

<p>When asked whether Aerosmith might hit the road again, he replied, "Well, yeah, I'm always hoping, but going on the road, it's a big deal pulling that together."</p>

<p>It's not an official confirmation, but the door doesn't seem completely shut either. In fact, it may be slightly ajar.</p>

<p>Perry acknowledged that touring at their age comes with new challenges. "There's so much planning, and what it takes out of you physically, it's a lot more than people realize," he said.</p>

<p>"It's one thing when you're doing it when you're 25 or 30, but it's another when you're starting to get up there like us. It's a really physical thing, going out on stage."</p>

<p>Still, the idea isn't off the table — and Perry isn't the only one entertaining it. In January, Tyler made his first public performance since the band's retirement announcement, singing at a Janie's Fund charity event.</p>

<p>During the interview, Perry was asked if he believed Tyler could handle a full performance again — and his response should give fans something to be excited about.</p>

<p>"You know, I think he would. I think it's just a matter of getting there, you know? I mean, it's like, you know, I mean, we're up there, man," he said.</p>

<p>He added, "I've got enough left in me. I still wanna do [a final Aerosmith show]... So, we'll see what happens."</p>

<p>Though no official tour dates have been announced, fans can still catch Perry live.</p>

<p>The Joe Perry Project — featuring Perry, Brad Whitford, touring keyboardist Buck Johnson, The Black Crowes' Chris Robinson on vocals and Stone Temple Pilots' Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz on bass and drums — is set to perform across the U.S. this summer.</p>

<p>American Pickers star Mike Wolfe welcomed a "beautiful" addition to his family in a video shared on social media.</p>

<p>On Monday, June 30, the History Channel star, 61, took to Instagram with a clip of his new "family member"—a Harley Davidson motorcycle.</p>

<p>"My Harley collection now spans 116 years, from 1909 to 2025," Wolfe captioned his update. "I can't wait to get some miles on this Street Glide and make her my own. Thank you to @harleydavidson and @moonshineharley for always being so bada--, here's to many more miles together! See you out there! 👊🏻 #HarleyPartner."</p>

<p>In the clip, Wolfe explained that the Street Glide reminded him of a bike he bought in 2000—and after having a chance to ride one for a different promo for the brand, he fell in love with the bike.</p>

<p>The history fanatic declared toward the end, "Dude, it's so sick. I'm pumped!"</p>
