Eva LaRue is getting candid about a nightmare that plagued her and her daughter, Kaya Callahan, for 12 years in My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story.

The beloved soap star's fame was taken to a new level when she landed a role on CSI: Miami, but LaRue's dream job also brought her the nightmare of her life in the form of a stalker who called himself Freddie Krueger.

In 2007, LaRue's life was forever changed with one menacing letter, threatening to rape and kill LaRue and Callahan, who was just a little girl at the time. My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story is a chilling account of their ordeal, and one letter read in the trailer will give viewers goosebumps.

Taking to Instagram to share the trailer for the first time, LaRue didn't hold back in speaking her truth. The actress admitted that the two-part documentary, premiering on Nov. 13 on Paramount+, is the most personal thing she has ever done.

"It's the story of survival, truth, and the strength we find when we have no other choice but to keep going," she wrote. "For more than a decade, my daughter and I lived inside a nightmare. What began as anonymous letters evolved into years of escalating, sickening and disturbing death threats, harassment and fear that shadowed every part of our lives. It reached a point where every sound at night felt like a warning, around every corner could be the end for us."

The FBI was on the case the entire time, working to help with every new threat. However, it wasn't until 2019 that the case was solved, thanks to new DNA technology that the FBI was allowed to use.

"For us, it happened in the nick of time. Sharing the story has been raw, painful, and deeply personal. Choosing to tell it was not easy, but I believe it matters. My hope is that by shining a light on this experience, others will find strength, awareness, and perhaps even healing. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping bring my story to light.🙏🏼♥️," ended her caption on the Instagram post teasing My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story.

Callahan and LaRue are open books in the trailer as they recount their beyond-horrible story. LaRue has spoken about the stalker before, but this is the first time she's told the whole story alongside her daughter, who spent most of her childhood in fear of him.
