The Louisville, Ky. native, 30, won rings with the team in 2020 and 2024.

The other Will Smith, currently a relief pitcher for the Kansas City Royals, benefited from being on three separate teams from 2021-2023 when each one went on to win the Fall Classic.

Will Smith the pitcher, 36, played for the Atlanta Braves in 2021, the Houston Astros in 2022 and the Texas Rangers in 2023.

The Dodgers' Smith hit a home run in game 2 on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Toronto, helping the team bring the series even at 1-1.

In the epic six hour and 39 minute-long game 3 on Monday, Oct. 27, Smith caught all 18 innings — four more innings than any other catcher in World Series history — and notched another record for his eight appearances at the plate.

All of which had his manager Dave Roberts impressed.

"I texted him this morning and said, 'How do you feel?' He said he felt great, which I would expect that," Roberts told reporters on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Whether the Dodgers player keeps the Smith winning streak alive remains to be seen.

The Blue Jays stormed back after losing game 3, 6-5, and won on Tuesday night, 6-2, ensuring that the series returns to Toronto for at least a game 6 on Friday, Oct. 31.

Game 5, meanwhile, takes place Wednesday, Oct. 29, with a game 1 rematch of pitchers. Toronto's rookie Trey Yesavage and the Dodgers' Blake Snell are set to take the mound.
