Paramount+ has unveiled two upcoming docuseries in its fall slate: one following TikTok heartthrob who enchants legions of online fans, and the other about a modern romance plagued by dark secrets.
Premiering Sept. 9 on the streamer is "Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout," which examines the rapid rise of 21-year-old TikToker William White. As the young creator gained millions of followers overnight, he sparked an obsession among lovesick fans, and the line between real connection and online fantasy became blurred beyond repair. Per the logline, "What at first seemed like innocent social interactions turned into jealousy, blackmail and betrayal by the fans who were determined to watch his every move online."

The two-part documentary will feature interviews with White and his fans, promising to be a "powerful exploration of internet culture, obsession and identity in the modern age."
Coming Oct. 28, "Don't Date Brandon" is a true-crime series about a modern relationship haunted by deception. "When Amber starts dating Brandon after meeting him online, he seems like the perfect boyfriend," reads the description. "But when she connects with his ex-wife, Athena, everything is turned upside-down as they learn the truth together: Brandon is a manipulative liar with dark secrets."
Amber and Athena team up to start a podcast, exposing Brandon and discussing the red flags they missed at the beginning of their respective relationships with him. Meanwhile, shocking details emerge as more victims come forward.
Both docuseries are produced by See It Now Studios, a banner under CBS News that has previously backed projects about Ghislaine Maxwell and Watergate.
"Thirst Trap" is also produced by Pyramid Productions and APG Picture. Trish Neufeld directs. Executive producers include James Buddy Day for Pyramid Productions and Aaron Fishman for APG Pictures, and Susan Zirinsky and Terence Wrong for See It Now Studios. Aysu Saliba and Cara Tortora are supervising producers. The docuseries is distributed internationally by Osmosis Global.
"Don't Date Brandon" hails from Wag Entertainment and director Grace Chapman. Executive producers include Steven Green and Eliya Arman for Wag Entertainment, as well as Zirinsky and Wrong. Saliba and Tortora are supervising producers, and Fremantle is the distributor.
