As a host on both Love is Blind and The Ultimatum, Nick Lachey has heard his share of dating dealbreakers.
Perhaps, some of the most challenging dating dealbreakers are those surrounding pets, especially when one member of the couple has allergies to their partner's furry friend."I feel for people who are sensitive to cat allergies," Lachey tells PEOPLE as an example. "You're constantly reacting and feeling under the weather" if your partner has a feline.
Thankfully, Lachey has a solution for cat allergy sufferers who happen to be dating a cat owner, and the answer doesn't involve a breakup. The 98 Degrees band member recently partnered with Purina ONE LiveClear to spread awareness about the product and launch Purina's LiveClear, Love Clear video series.
Purina ONE LiveClear is a dry cat food designed to neutralize the main allergen spread through a cat's fur and dander with a safe, natural protein from eggs that is added to the cat food. Over time, on a diet that includes Purina ONE LiveClear, a cat will produce less of the allergen, leading to a reduction in cat allergy symptoms for the people who spend time with the pet.
The LiveClear, Love Clear video series follows three real-life couples dealing with cat allergy issues as they navigate the allergy's impact on their relationships, and the help Purina ONE LiveClear provides.
"Purina ONE LiveClear is so important because you're able to take that sensitivity off the table and take that cat allergen card out of play, which is so impactful for people who are suffering from that," Lachey shares.

He hopes the series inspires others not to let pet allergies stand in the way of a strong relationship, both with people and animals.
"I think pets can teach you so much about yourself and about each other. It really is a great way to become a parent without becoming a parent," Lachey says about the perks of caring for a pet with a partner, adding that his first dog with wife Vanessa Lachey, Wookie, helped them prepare for parenting human children.

Today, Nick and his family, including his three children with Vanessa, have two dogs: Dasher and Cookie. According to the Perfect Match host, the canines lead a life without many rules, since they add so much to the family.
"I love my pets. I love my dogs to death, and I have a great relationship with my pets," Lachey says.
He is optimistic that Purina ONE LiveClear will provide cat parents who are dating cat allergy sufferers a way to keep their feline and human loves together without discomfort or significant compromises.
"Relationships are hard enough, you know what I mean? They're hard enough without having this complication and cat allergen sensitivities thrown into it. So to take that off the table, to me, it's a game changer," he says.
