Yankees make drastic move over Devin Williams after another meltdown in nightmare start to New York career
The Yankees are demoting closer Devin Williams 'for now,' manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Sunday. Williams, who's in his first season with the team after being acquired in an offseason trade with the Brewers, has a ghastly 11.25 ERA thus far and blew another save on Friday against the Blue Jays. And Boone is now taking the reliever out of the closer role, adding that Luke Weaver would 'likely' replace him.
