Say goodbye to the plastic bags! Major UK airport completely scraps 100ml liquid rule in favour of major change
In a huge boost for passengers, travellers flying from Gatwick will no longer need to remove electrical items or put their liquids in plastic bags. Airport bosses said travellers can now leave liquids and items such as laptops in their hand luggage while going through security. The airport said this was part of its plans to 'transform' Gatwick's security screening process. Cyrus Dana, head of security at Gatwick, said: 'More than 95 per cent of passengers already pass through security at London Gatwick in under five minutes.
