A Muslim girl who was bashed so badly by a classmate she needed reconstructive facial surgery says it started with her defending another student. The 15-year-old student at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, who wasn't named, was attacked in her math class on March 7 by a black boy the same age. Photos of the victim, who wears a hijab, after the attack showed her face bloodied, swollen, and bruised.
