A Massachusetts mother who fell to her death in front of her three children while hiking the famed 'Purgatory Chasm' has been identified. Carolyn Sanger, 49, was hiking with three of her children at Sutton's Purgatory Chasm when she fell more than 50 feet to her death on Wednesday. State troopers responded around 2pm after her kids ran to alert park rangers, Sutton police told Boston 25 News. Police said in a statement that multiple medical professionals had been hiking in the area at the time and attempted to revive the mother of four.
