FDA issues warning over recalled butter that may contain FECES
An urgent recall was issued for a popular butter this week and it has now emerged that it could contain feces. Vermont-based Cabot Creamery - which churns out more than two billion pounds of butter a year - has voluntarily recalled 1,700 pounds of its Cabot Creamery Extra Creamy Sea Salted Butter Sticks after testing found elevated levels of coliform. Coliform is as group of bacteria that is not harmful on its own but is usually a sign of hygiene issues, such as a product being contaminated with animal or human feces.
