The US President, 78, and the French First Lady, 72, joined world leaders, clergymen, and reigning monarchs in St Peter's Square as the Argentine Pontiff was laid to rest on Saturday. However, both have received criticism for their attire at the event, which neglected the dress code of a dark suit with a long black tie and white shirt for men, and either a modest black dress or a formal suit with a black headscarf, head covering, or veil, for women.
