Billie Eilish left an enduring impression together with her efficiency at the 2024 Grammys.
Eilish, 22, took the stage on the Crypto.com Area in Los Angeles on Sunday, February four, to deliver a chilling rendition of her track "What Was I Made For?" Her brother and collaborator Finneas played the piano as Eilish sang the emotional music while sporting sun shades and a brilliant pink scarf on her head.
Forward of the memorable efficiency, Eilish celebrated a win for Best Song Written for Visual Media. She was also nominated at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for Report of the Yr, Music of the Yr, Greatest Pop Solo Performance and Greatest Music Video. Eilish's track with Labrinth, "Never Felt So Alone," acquired a nod in the Greatest Pop Duo class.
Eilish's six nominations put her in good company with Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, Brandy Clark, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. Along with Eilish's track from the soundtrack, Barbie the Album was also acknowledged within the Greatest Compilation Soundtrack for Visible Media category.
In the meantime, Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt scored a nomination for Greatest Rating Soundtrack Album for Visible Media and for his or her collaboration on Ryan Gosling's "I'm Simply Ken." Dua Lipa's "Dance the Night time" and Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice's "Barbie World" are also competing towards each other in Greatest Track Written for Visible Media. The nominations are rounded out with a nod in the Greatest Rap Music class as nicely.

Earlier than music's largest night time, Eilish opened up about the inspiration behind her song.
"I would love to say that this award and any recognition that this track gets, I simply need to dedicate to anybody who experiences hopelessness, the feeling of existential dread and feeling like, 'What's the point? Why am I here? And why am I doing this?'" Eilish stated whereas accepting an award on the Palm Springs Film Awards final month.
The singer recalled experiencing dark thoughts whereas writing the lyrics, adding, "I feel all of us really feel like that sometimes, but I feel if someone like me, with the amount of privilege that I have and the unimaginable issues that I get to do and be and the way I have actually not needed to be right here. Sorry to be darkish, rattling. But I've spent a variety of time feeling that approach."
Eilish recalled Barbie director Greta Gerwig asking her and brother Finneas to contribute to the movie's soundtrack.
"[I was having a dark episode where] issues didn't make sense in life. I just didn't understand what the purpose was and why you'd hold going. Just questioning every part on the planet," she noted about her frame of mind before seeing the film. "[Barbie went through situations] that I actually, really, actually resonated with and felt so near. I felt so seen, and I did not anticipate that."

Eilish had nothing but praise for Barbie — and the audience who liked the film.
"[The movie is] probably the most unimaginable, most empowering and delightful and humorous and just unbelievable piece of art on the planet, and I'm so honored to be a part of it," she concluded. "Be patient with your self. And know that it's, I feel, value all of it. And I feel that it's good to be alive now. I didn't feel like that for a really very long time."
