Celebrities have been getting increasingly candid about what plastic surgeries they've undergone recently, but HGTV stars were ahead of the curve!

A number of the network's designers and real estate experts that fans know and love have already opened up about why they decided to have certain procedures over the years.

From Christina Haack to Mina Starsiak Hawk, here's a closer look at HGTV stars' plastic surgery journeys.

After years of unexplained health issues, the Christina on the Coast star, 41, opened up about her breast implant surgery and how she thought her symptoms — including fatigue, skin rashes, brain fog, swollen lymph nodes and more — might be related to the procedure.

"I've had some unexplained health stuff for years, and now I'm considering the thought that this could be breast implant related," she wrote in an Instagram post in December 2022.

The mom of three — she shares son Bradyen, 9, and daughter Taylor, 14, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, as well as son Hudson, 5, with second ex-husband Ant Anstead — later revealed that she was considering getting her implants removed for the sake of her health.

"I have a couple of appointments about getting my implants removed," she told E! News in January 2023. Despite being vocal about the negative effect her implants seemingly had on her, Haack doesn't appear to have confirmed whether she went through with the removal or not.

Along with her breast implants, Haack has been open about the other cosmetic procedures she's had in the past.

The HGTV star talked about getting under eye filler in 2022, but swore she would "never" do it again after having a reaction to it that left her face swollen. As a result, she had the filler disolved.

Haack also alluded to getting Botox during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE ahead of her 40th birthday in July 2023. When asked how she felt about getting older, the designer responded, "Nothing a little Botox can't fix."

Mina Starsiak Hawk

The Good Bones star, 40, has been an open book when it comes to her plastic surgery procedures, especially after having her two children: son Jack, 6, and daughter Charlie, 4.

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in January 2021, Starsiak Hawk said the C-sections that both pregnancies required, along with breastfeeding, made her no longer feel like herself in her own body.

"My C-section scar was a very visual and physical reminder of not looking like myself and not feeling like myself anymore," she told PEOPLE at the time. "You don't go back to being the same after a baby, no matter what you do. A lot of women really love and embrace that, but I just didn't feel that way."

After thinking it through, she opted to get a group of procedures often referred to as a "mommy makeover" — including liposuction, breast implants and a tummy tuck — in early December 2020. While she was happy with the results of the procedures, she did admit to feeling some guilt over getting them.

"I was very hard on myself for wanting to do this, because it's super selfish. But I decided that's okay, and I just have to keep telling myself that," she said, and further explained that, "It's like this mom-guilt that everyone else needs to be taken care of except you."

Egypt Sherrod

Sherrod, 48, took to social media to open up about the multiple breast reductions she got after having kids.

The Married to Real Estate star, 48, shared the reason behind her decision to get the procedure done a second time in an Instagram Reel in May 2022. Before going into the surgery, Sherrod explained that she got her first breast reduction done in 2008 before she gave birth to her daughters.

She continued the video by sharing how getting a breast reduction done the first time helped ease the pain she was feeling in her back, which eventually led to migraines as a result of the pressure. After she had her youngest daughter Harper, whom she shares with husband Mike Jackson, her breasts were once again the size they were before her first reduction, leading her to get the surgery done a second time.

In the clip, she noted that it was not about the "aesthetic" for her, it was about the fact that the pain was having a serious impact on her "quality of life."

"Surgery is not a decision I made lightly, especially not with having three girls who I am constantly telling to love the skin they are in," she added in the caption. "But I want to fully enjoy every moment with my family, every walk, every workout without chronic pain."

Tarek El Moussa

While the Flipping 101 star hasn't spoken about any plastic surgeries, he has been candid about a number of other cosmetics procedures.

Similar to his ex-wife Haack, when Tarek turned 43 this past August, the house flipper admitted that he's gotten Botox done while reflecting on his birthday in an Instagram post.

"OMG I still can't believe I'm 43!!! Huge shoutout to whoever created Botox!" he wrote in the caption.

Months later in April, he addressed speculation that he wears a toupee after fans claimed he looked different in his new HGTV series, The Flip Off, which he stars in with wife Heather Rae El Moussa alongside Haack.

"Last season of The Flip Off, I do look a little bit different. I'm in better shape. My hair is longer. I look decent. You know, people are saying I'm wearing a toupee or I got plastic surgery. I'm gonna tell you guys exactly what I did," he explained on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea show.

"Here's what I did: I got PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections in my head, which caused my hair to grow in fuller and I grew out my hair," he continued.

Of PRP injections, Harvard Health explains, "the theory is that platelets, injected deep into the scalp to reach the bottom of the hair follicle, may stimulate a specialized population of cells named dermal papilla cells, which play a critical role in hair growth."

Tarek also noted that Heather introduced him to a collagen-boosting micro-needling procedure on his face that he gets every six weeks, in addition to micro-needling and laser resurfacing.
