Chicago-born Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected as the first American Pope on Thursday, becoming the religious leader of the world's 1.41 billion Catholics. The former missionary, who will be known as Pope Leo XIV, has repeatedly criticized the Trump administration's immigration stance. His last retweet, on April 14, slams the Trump administration's deportation of undocumented migrant and Maryland father-of-three Kilmar Abrego Garcia, 30, to El Salvador.
