
Bombshell KGB files shed more light on Hitler's last moments as they are released for first time
An astonishing cache of documents relating to Hitler's death 80 years ago has been released by Russia's FSB security service. The stash includes the declassified originals of statements and interrogation notes of the führer's valet, SS-Sturmbannführer Heinz Linge, and personal adjutant SS-Sturmbannführer Otto Günsche. Linge revealed a 'deluded' Hitler killed himself - on April 30, 1945 - in part because he was 'afraid' of being 'caught while trying to escape from Berlin'.
