Urgent recall of 90k wireless battery packs after they caught fire, resulting in injuries
The federal government has told shoppers to 'immediately stop' using a battery pack because of a fire risk. Nearly 90,000 Velvet Caviar MagSafe wireless power pack are part of the recall after multiple copies overheated and caught on fire. The recall affects the 5,000 mAh wireless portable power bank, which was sold through velvetcaviar.com and Amazon, between November 2022 and October 2024. Velvet Caviar sold the power banks for $65.
