The crew on the doomed Black Hawk helicopter that collided with a commercial passenger jet in mid-air was 'fairly experienced', the Army said on Thursday. The Pentagon has begun notifying the next of kin of the three soldiers who were on a training flight whey they hit the American Airlines plane on its final approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The first fatal U.S. commercial airline crash since 2009 is believed to have killed up to 67 people and has sparked questions over if it could have been prevented.
