Former New York Governor David Paterson has been savagely attacked by a group of teenagers after he and his son tried to prevent them from climbing a fire escape in Manhattan. David Paterson, 70, and his son, 20, came across the teenagers on Second Avenue near East 96th Street shortly before 9pm on Friday. A confrontation apparently erupted after Paterson and his son told the three young men to stop scaling the fire escape.
